Welcome to Callista Faye Creative, where yesterday's treasures become tomorrow's memories. I'm Callista, the artist and creator behind the brand.
I take reclaimed vintage pieces and give them new life through my handcrafted, one-of-a-kind keepsakes.
I'm a formally trained Peace Region artist, a self-taught DIY guru, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts graduate from Emily Carr University. My varied interests have led me to explore different creative avenues - from student artist to professional photographer, macrame designer to furniture refinisher, and now a crochet designed and a metal stamping silverware artist.
I'm married to Travis, and am a mom to three children. Our family is currently renovating a 1940s farmhouse in rural northern Alberta. We've been through a lot of ups and downs, including the stillbirth of our first child, Calvin. Together, we are determined to find joy in life after loss, and continue to honour Calvin's memory.
I started metal stamping as a way to cope with my grief, and my postpartum anxiety after the birth of our second son.
It's been a therapeutic outlet for me, and I hope my creations can bring a sense of comfort and beauty to others. I honour Calvin's constant presence in our lives in my branding, the stars are for him. I'm tried to be an advocate for mental health and try to be open about my journey online. It is hard to be vulnerable, but hearing from even just one person who says that I have made them feel less alone in their struggle makes it all worth it.
Thank you for visiting my website and supporting my small business. I hope you find something that resonates with you and brings a little bit of joy (or hope) to your day.
